Winners of Sketch #23-Tui's Sketch

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last week's challenge!  Wow …. What a fantastic turnout of participants this week and a terrific array of cards, thank you to everyone for we were totally inspired by your beautiful works of art!  The Clean Team has chosen the Princesses for you this week and Tui has chosen her Queen!
The "Perfect Princesses" this week are:

Linda's Choice
Sara at My Little Paper Addiction

Cool colors and a fabulous pop of orange caught my eye right away on Sara's card!  I love the clean lines of this card.  It is simple yet stunning!  The loop of ribbon and the tiny orange button are sweet details.  And the center of the flower completes the design perfectly!  Definitely freshly made!  Congratulations Sara on being my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Jen's Choice
Hannelie at Desert Diva
I can’t resist a clean and simple card with a big pop of color, so I was drawn to Hannelie’s card right away.  The artful way she stamped the flowers combined with the hint of black accent is an attention grabber for sure.  And the long line of black rhinestones is a fantastic addition.  Congratulations Hannelie on being my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Jennifer's Choice
What can I say?  I can't resist a neutral palette!  When I saw Jen's card this week I was so impressed with the lovely details.  That gorgeous print on the dsp, the texture behind the image and then there are those butterflies.  Another thing I can't seem to resist is a butterfly!  The pearls add a touch of elegance and the black ribbon is a wonderful finishing touch.  Congratulations, Jen, on being my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Rita's Choice
Laurie of On the Bright Side
Being from Texas, I think it was impossible for me NOT to pick this fun card.   I love the sweet image so much.  Laurie did an amazing job coloring it; it coordinates so perfectly with the striped designer paper.   I love the sketch flipped on its side like this too!   The sentiment is a hoot and makes me smile every time I look at it.   It is just a great card for kids and was made for such a wonderful cause.  Congratulations, Laurie, on being my Perfect Princess for the week!

Tracey's Choice
Andrea of Scrap- und Stempelblog
Who could resist a baby card?! I fell completely in love with Andrea's card this week.  How adorable is this stamp set!  She did an amazing job coloring in the images!  The colors just pop on this card. I love how Andrea flipped the sketch as well.  The brads on the side add a beautiful touch.  This card will go into my bookmarks for case'ing, if I can get my hands on this stamp set! Thanks for the inspiration!!  Congratulations, Andrea, you are my choice forPerfect Princess this week!

Kim's Choice
Allisa of Rocky Mountain Paper Crafts
Allisa says that this is her first time coloring an entire image with Copics.  Wow!  I am seriously impressed.  And she is using her first digital image!  I love this card in so many ways.  I love the yellow centers surrounded by the vibrant reddish/orange.   I love the script background and her use of the same script on the white squares.  The simple black bow and brads are a perfect final touch.  I am honored to choose Allisa as my Perfect Princess.

And Our Queen of Clean this week:

Tui's Choice
Sue of Crafting the Day Away
As I browsed through the gallery, the one card that captivated and stood out for me was this gorgeous creation of Sue’s.  I am loving silhouettes at the moment, and this moonlit Japanese geisha really is a beauty, the brayered background has been executed really well, the moon and the white embossing of the Japanese characters adds a lovely crispness to the design and finally the multi-shades of blue brought a smile to my face, cos it was the blue paint samples that I had in hand when this sketch was devised in my head!  Oh, and not to mention the understated trio of buttons for a touch of texture and dimension!  Congratulations Sue for being my choice for Queen of Clean this week!

Thank you for joining us last week!  We will be back tomorrow with a brand new sketch from Rita Wright!!!

Thanks for stopping by,
The Clean Team

Winners for Sketch Challenge #22 from Jennifer Timko

To play along with our current challenge please CLICK HERE.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last week's challenge!  Sorry for the late winner post!  We loved seeing your wonderful creations with Jennifer's great sketch!  The Clean Team has chosen the Princesses for you this week and Jennifer has chosen her Queen!
The "Perfect Princesses" this week are:

Cindy's Choice
Dawn Tidd of Tiddbits from Dawn
FMS #22The choices were tough this week with so many wonderful entries, but I kept coming back to Dawn's card.  It's the epitome of fresh and clean to me.  Her colors and clean lines really show off the sketch.  And even though Dawn's card is super clean, she had a keen eye for details, like the little flowers with pearls and the hearts on the cups.  Great job, Dawn, and congratulations!  You're my choice for "Perfect Princess" this week!

Linda's Choice
Noelle McAdams of Paper and Ice

Noelle's take on this week's sketch is wonderfully creative - and oh so wonderfully retro!  The rounded corners and color combination add to the charm of this design.  She combines the patterned paper and colors perfectly!  Congrats Noelle on being my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Jen's Choice
Kim Allen of Pink Paper Bakery
As soon as I saw Kim’s card I was struck by all the great elements she combined.  She cleverly used the First Edition designer paper with the typewriter – what a combo!  She even paper pieced a sheet coming out of the typewriter!  But I think what I love most is the two tags hanging from the typewriter that are stamped with the sentiment.  They look exactly like the keys on an old-fashioned typewriter – tying the whole theme together perfectly!  Congratulations Kim on being my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Lesley's Choice
I chose Brenda's card because I love how she highlighted the designer paper on the two side panels. The punched flower is also so pretty, staggered and layered in different colours. The brad accent on the flower compliments everything so nicely.  A clean and crisp design which is both bold and beautiful! Congratulations Brenda on being my choice for a Perfect Princess.

Tui's Choice
I was mesmerised when I saw this fabulous card of Tara's, such creativity and it definitely left a permanent smile on my face! But seriously, I love how she embossed the background to resemble weatherboard, and OMG the window-shutters, what uber patience, the polka dotted curtains and the window plant box, her attention to the finer detailing is superb ... and then the sweet lil gnome "there certainly is no place like gnome"! ... love it! So based on that and that I am still smiling ... Congratulations Tara on being my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Rita's Choice
Hannelie of Desert Diva
Hello is right.  What an amazing card this is!  I love all the white space, but my favorite part is most definitely the combination of colors.   I had no idea that red and yellow worked so well together!  That adorable telephone image is just perfect with the Hello sentiment.   The red accents add interest without taking over the card.  Just a perfect clean card that mirrors what our challenge is all about.   Congratulations, Hannelie, on being my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Tracey's Choice
Arlene of WaterDots
Arlene's card is just beautiful.  She has chosen some wonderful manly colors!! So masculine. I love seeing masculine cards, especially when they look this good! I love the DSP.  The train, to me, represented the adventures they have shared for 16 years! I am definitely Case'ing this one, if that's ok Arlene! I love the huge numbers, the brads for the banner, and the wonderful layers. Her card has just the right balance of elements. Congratulations, Arlene, you are my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Kim's Choice
LisaJ of Snowy Moose Creations

I fell in love with Lisa's card as it is so very simple yet absolutely glows with life!  Her use of colors and patterned paper made it stunning.  The little details such as the embossing and the piercing give it interest.  I love her choice of embellishments - those butterflies are the perfect addition to the sentiment.  Lisa - I would love to be "distracted" by the scenes outside your window - is Bobby the Bull Moose still hanging around??!!  I am honored to choose Lisa as my Perfect Princess.

And Our Queen of Clean this week:

Jennifer's Choice
Erna Logtenberg of Elog Cards

I have been so inspired by the lovely entries in this week's challenge!  Thanks to all who made such beautiful cards with my sketch!  As I perused the gallery, I fell in love with Erna's card immediately.  The Crumb Cake base with the pop of color is so pretty.  I love the dimension that comes from the flowers and Erna's fantastic sponging.  The baker's twine and the button are the perfect finish!  Congratulations Erna on being my choice for the Queen of Clean this week!

Welcome back to Freshly Made Sketches and a huge "thank you" to everyone who took part in Jen's "straight and level" challenge last week, we were just blown away by your creativity and talent, and we look forward to seeing what you come up with this week!

Hi there, it's Tui Nathan here and I have a sketch for you that I hope you'll enjoy. Go wild or go calm and serene, but most of all have fun!

Comments this week....

To all of our valued participants,

As you may know, Blogger has changed the commenting word verification system this week.  Many of us have been experiencing difficulties reading those two verification words we need to fill in to complete a comment.  Normally we comment on as many cards as we are able to do, but the new words are really slowing us down!

In your settings on blogger, you are able to turn off word verification and change to a "moderation" setting. This means any comment you receive will appear on your dashboard and you can publish it later.  That way, design teams will be able to easily leave you some comment love!

I hope this makes sense and that you can understand why we may not have left you a comment this week.  As a design team, we work hard to make sure we comment on as many cards as we possibly can.  We know how important comments are to each of us!

If you have any questions about how to change from word verification to comment moderation, please leave us a comment with your email address and we will try to help you if we can!

Thank you!!  There is still time to join our current challenge! To play along, please CLICK HERE to see the design team samples and to link your creation.

Sincerely,
Lesley and the Freshly Made Team

Here is a screen capture of where to go and what to look for. Thank you to Tracey for helping us with this.

Freshly Made Sketches #22-A Sketch by Jennifer Timko

Welcome back to Freshly Made Sketches!  The response to Lesley's "seeing double" was fantastic!  This is Jennifer with your sketch for this week.  Since I've been working hard for the last month getting back to flying, I thought I would try a little "straight and level" with my layout, too.  That is definitely the best way to fly and I hope it will be fun for you to try this week!

Winners for Lesley's "Seeing Double" Sketch

Wow! What an amazing week!! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our last sketch challenge!  The Clean Team has chosen the Princesses for you this week and I have chosen the Queen!
The "Perfect Princesses" this week are:

Cindy's Choice
Karen Squires from Stampin' By The Bay

Karen has carried her nautical theme perfectly throughout the card, from the DSP and color choices to the embellishments to create an absolutely masculine Valentine's Day card.  The coloring of the main image is stunning, too.  Congratulations, Karen!  You're my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Linda's Choice
Karen from Simply Frenzied

This card made me smile right away!  I don't know if it was the unexpected black flower or the pop of red!  Either way the results are eye-catching!  The offset letters, the unusual frame and the crinkled petals all add to the whimsical charm of this card.  I found it very unique - and definitely freshly made! Congratulations Karen on being my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Jen's Choice

And this card made me smile!  I don't know what drew me more, the fantastic combination of blue and green, the interesting texture from the stitching and the rhinestone bling, or Jen's spot-on coloring of the image!  But I know for sure that the fun image is purrfect!  (Sorry, I couldn't resist)!  Just look at the face on that crafty fellow!  Fun, fun!  Congralulations Jen on being my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Jennifer's Choice
Deb from ARTfelt Impressions

What an amazing variety of cards this week!  I have to say that something about this clean beauty really caught my eye.  The pretty banner look to the double panels, the white space and that fabulous flower all combine to make a fantastic card.  The little brad in the center of the flower is just adorable and sets it off perfectly.  Congratulations Deb on being my Perfect Princess this week!

Tui's Choice
Doesn’t this card just make you wanna go “yee haa” … that is exactly what I did when I laid eyes on these fabulous cards … not only are the papers bright and happy, but that lasso swinging cowboy in the background and the awesome “Big Day” sentiments are the perfect way to celebrate any young budding cowboy and lasso roping youngster.  Congratulations Linda on being my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Rita's Choice
Candace of Candid Candace

Who wouldn't have the happiest of Valentine's Day when receiving this lovely card?!  I love the fun mix of black, white, red, and pink.   The designer papers and embossed background are just gorgeous.  I love the overflowing bucket of hearts; what a beautifully colored image!   The bow and the bling finish off this beauty just perfectly.   Congratulations, Candace, on being my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

Kim's Choice
Sandra at Sandra's Stamping Spot

I am in love with Sandra's card because it shows that a very vintage/antique look can be accomplished on a fairly simple card. Sandra's rich background with the splatters on the music, her choice of embossing folder and her sponged die cut all give it that vintage look.  The pop of pinks, lavenders and greens from those beautifully colored flowers keep it cheerful and celebratory.  Sandra, I am proud to pick you as my Perfect Princess this week!

Tracey's Choice
Marilyn of Paper Dreams

It was such a difficult decision this week! wow, all the cards were amazing!!!  Marilyn's card is just so adorable! I love the gorgeous coloring she did on the elephant.  The colors Marilyn chose, the beautiful big bow!!  It stood out to me right away.  And, I absolutely LOVE that little hearts border in black! SO cute! Congratulations Marilyn, on being my choice for Perfect Princess this week!

And Our Queen of Clean this week:

Lesley's Choice
Diane Oliver of Rubber n' Rafters

As soon as I visited Diane's blog I knew this card was special! Firstly, her imaginative take on the sketch was awesome. The curvy lines, created by the SU! border dies, really looked cool! I also love the colours she chose, the softness of the blue paired with the poppy red.  The soft stamping of the birds behind the sentiment was also a lovely touch!  Congratulations Diane on being my choice for the Queen of Clean this week!

Thank you to everyone who played along with us last week!  Please join us tomorrow for a sketch from wonderful Jennifer Timko!!

Thanks for stopping by,
